God is Everywhere

I write this while I am at the 2015 Rod Runs in Pigeon Forge, TN on a Daddy-Daughter day. So, as the week was coming to a close I started worrying about what I was going to write about today. So I prayed to God and He answered in amazing ways Friday evening. He showed me that He is everywhere!
Moma and I went out to eat and our waiter was a very nice guy. He had a pen like one Moma use to have. Moma just mentioned that she had lost her's, just making conversation with him, and before we left he came back and gave her his pen! That was one of the sweetest things I've seen in a long time and a great Random Act of Kindness!
God wasn't done there though. We went to Best Buy to look at a new computer and the man helping us was very nice and truly helpful. We spent about two hours in there asking him question after question before we decided on a computer. As we were checking out he shared with us the fact that he is a walking miracle. When he was 19 he got in the car with a drunk driver and got into a bad wreck. He wasn't suppose to be able to walk or use his arms ever again, but one week later his dad brought his guitar in the hospital room and he started playing it like nothing ever happened to him! He showed us the scar on his throat and talked about how God is amazing.
Moma and I came home overly blessed and with the reminder that God is everywhere. Even in a restaurant and an electronic store. WOW!

Dear Daughter of the King,

Dear Daughter of the King,
Do not listen to the world! The world is going to try and tell you that you're not pretty enough if you do not wear revealing clothing and cover your face with a bunch of makeup. The world will say that if you don't lose your virginity at a certain age you are wired and an outcast. The world will say that if you aren't skinny then you are ugly and no one will ever want to date you. The world will say that everything is your fault.
But your King, who gave His life for you and loves you, says that "You are all together beautiful My Darling. There is NO flaw in you." (Song of Solomon 4:7). Your King says that to dress modestly is the most beautiful thing in the world, you are respecting yourself and your body. Your King says that beauty should come from what is in your heart, not how much makeup you wear. "The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7). Your King says that keeping your virginity and staying pure is RADIANTLY BEAUTIFUL! Your King says that no matter what size you are, you are LOVED! "Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you," (Isaiah 43:4). Your King says that no matter what happens HE is there for you and HE can fix any problem! "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew11:28). Just remember, Daughter of the King, Your King loves you and is always with you!

Cruise to Mexico

I had a great time traveling to New Orleans. We stopped in Alabama on Thanksgiving night and seeing the lights of Atlanta, Georgia was amazing! The next day, November 28th, we headed for New Orleans, Louisiana.

When we got there our hotel room was a mess and we had to get a new one and take all of our luggage around with us! We made the mistake of going down Bourbon Street on a Friday night during Battle of the Bands. We ate at a restaurant called Cafe Beignet and the food was great! They had live Jazz and that was a great experience. I'm very blessed to have gotten to see what I did.
We boarded  the Carnival cruise ship Elation and it finally sunk in for Courtney and I that we were on a cruise together, this was something we use to joke about doing when we were younger. On the cruise we got the chance to try Alligator Tail, Baked Alaska, Escargot, Duck, and Cherry Jubilee. We danced in a club, watched some live comedies, and tried to play in the casino. Each night we would order a non-alcoholic drink and get in the hot tub.
Our first stop was Cozumel, Mexico. We took a lot of pictures of the places around us and then we got to swim with a dolphin! That was an amazing experience! I got kissed by a Sea Lion and then we relaxed in hammocks on the beach.
Our next stop was to Progresso, Yucatan. We took a shuttle into the city and then traveled to a salt mine where we got to mine for slat! We saw flamingos and then went to the Mayan ruins called X'cambo. X'cambo was an important salt empory and a trading place. There were many temples there and a church. The history nerd in me really loved that. We spent the rest of the day on a privet beach.
I'm so thankful for the experience I got and if you ever get a chance to go on a cruise to anywhere my advice is to go! I hope you enjoy this video of my trip. Fun in Mexico
